COVID-safe practices at The Pilates Centre Mosman

Please do not arrive early for your class.

6 chairs are available to wait for your class. Two chairs in foyer; two chairs in reception area, two chairs in general area. If there are clients sitting on the chairs in the foyer already, do not enter the building and please wait outside for the clients to exit first.

Do not use the pigeon holes to store your belongings.

There will be a basket for each person in the Studio and Reformer rooms to store shoes and belongings.

Please put your shoes and jacket on before leaving the Studio or Reformer room.

Please leave The Pilates Centre Mosman immediately after your class.

Your instructor will be your Hygiene Marshal while you are in the centre. Your instructor will strictly adhere to class duration of 55-minutes to ensure time for cleaning and departing.

Shani Morton is the lead Hygiene Marshal for The Pilates Centre Mosman and will adhere to Covid-Safe hygiene protocols in the general areas and bathrooms.

We comply with contact tracing procedures because we have your details on file and we have the list of clients attending classes every day.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How is my Membership “Personalised” – Where is the value?

A: Our team is lead by an experienced Physiotherapist who (if needed) oversees your program, looks at your scans, talks to your practitioners and checks with your Instructor about your progress.

Our incredible team of instructors, with a vast amount of knowledge and experience, work closely together, so you get the best of all our combined training.

Membership includes Private classes and access to Reformer Circuit training on top of your regular classes – both of which can be booked to suit your personal schedule. All clients have different needs and goals. We are committed to helping you establish a regular effective exercise program that leaves you amazed with what your body can achieve and how good you can feel.

Q: Can I suspend my Membership?

A: Yes, absolutely you can.  If you’re going away for two weeks or more you simply pay an admin fee of $10 for us to put your payment and your permanent slot on hold until your restart date. You just have to give us 2 days notice to get this organised for you.

Q: Is it $10 a week the whole time I’m away?

A: No, it is only a one-time fee for the time you’re away.

Q: What if I go away more than once in a year?

A: No problem, you just let us know with 2 days notice and we can suspend your membership again. For each time you suspend your membership a $10 admin fee will apply.

Q: Will I lose my time slot if I go away on holiday?

A: No, not if you choose to suspend your account and pay the $10 admin fee.  With your membership you are guaranteed your preferred time slot, even if you go on holiday and put your membership on hold for a few weeks.  It all reactivates as soon as you return.

Q: What if I can’t make it to my scheduled class (illness, other appointment, etc.)?

A: During COVID, our cancellation policy is 8 hours before your class, to allow easy rescheduling for COVID health reasons. However, we have increased our rescheduling policy so that any early cancellation classes can be used within 5 weeks (previously 1 week).

COVID Protocols as you return to The Pilates Centre Mosman

Re-opening Monday 15 June!

RETURNING TO THE PILATES CENTRE MOSMAN
Finally! We are really excited to see you all and work with you again, but we do want to update you on our plan of action for returning to classes – what is to be expected from us and what will be required of you.
We will be commencing Studio, Private, Reformer, Physio classes and massage on the morning of Monday 15 June.

THE NEW NORMAL
Once our doors open we will be implementing the following social distancing rules and guidelines:

  • All sessions will be moving to a 1:4 ratio and run for 55-minutes. This will account for clean-up in studio.  It will also create less opportunity for close contact in the change-over periods.
  • We will stagger the times to minimise everyone starting at one point.
  • Contact tracing: We always have and will continue to keep records of anyone who has entered the space on any particular day. We encourage you to download the government’s Covid App.
  • Online classes will continue as need be, please discuss your arrangements with your instructor.
  • The above will be reviewed on an ongoing basis in accordance with government restrictions.

EXPECTATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
As a client at The Pilates Centre Mosman you will be expected to:

  • Arrive no more than 5 minutes prior to your session starting.  Leave immediately after your session (unless you have booked an adjoining Reformer Circuit time or other appointment.)
  • Hand sanitise on arrival and departure.
  • Comply with having your temperature taken upon entry into studio – Shani will use the contactless temperature gun to do this.
  • Bring your towel – there will be a strict no towel, no train policy.
  • Clean up your equipment as you go – in Studio you will be allocated equipment for 20-minutes on a reformer and 20-minutes on a trap-table with the remaining 15-minutes for stretches, mat work, small apparatus, etc.

And of course, adhere to all social distancing requirements and respiratory etiquette expectations.
Do not attend if you have any Covid type symptoms.

LATE CANCELLATION POLICY
In these extraordinary times we have had to change our cancellation policy to be more accomodating but to still value our instructors’ time.  We will now give you 8 hours to cancel prior to your class. This must be done online via your MindBody account.

Under extenuating circumstances where you are being cautious around unexpected sniffles, please ring the office and we will do our best to reschedule; you will be offered either a Studio session or Reformer Circuit (timetable permitting
